“Treat a person as he is, and he will remain as he is. Treat him as what he could be, and he will become what he should be.” - Jimmy Johnson

Coach Harper has always had a passion for football. Starting at a young age people said he was too short to play the position. His love for the game and desire to prove people wrong drove him to become a starting QB in High School & recruited to play the position in College. He went on to be the starting QB at Parkway High School in 1996 – 1998. While at Parkway, Jeff set passing records & still holds the record for the longest TD pass (98 yards), along with making all district twice and all city honorable mention.

After high school Jeff was a preferred walk-on at Southern Arkansas University in 1998 until having a shoulder injury that brought his playing days to an end. Immediately he decided he wanted to coach and began coaching at the Youth Level and won a league championship in his first season as the Offensive Coordinator.

Jeff was given the opportunity, by Steven Geter who was the Head Coach at Loyola, to become the Quarterback Coach & serve as the Co-Offensive Coordinator at Loyola College Prep here in Shreveport, Louisiana. Jeff currently serves as the QB Coach at his alma mater 5a Parkway High School. Jeff enjoys coaching and sees it as a ministry to the future leaders of our community. If you have any desire to play the Quarterback position Gunslinger Quarterback Academy will give you the tools necessary to be successful as a future Quarterback regardless of age, skill level, and experience.
